Migrant Crime

Not only are we seeing a surge of illegal immigrants crossing our southern border, but we are also seeing a massive influx of fentanyl flood our streets. As Solicitor, I will work with legislators to pass homicide by overdose legislation and will prosecute fentanyl dealers to the fullest extent of the law. 

VIOLENT CRIMES

Those who commit violent crimes need to be in jail. That sounds like common sense, but in today’s world, it is just not happening. Criminals who commit the most serious crimes must stay in jail without bond until their trial date. Delays in prosecution delay justice for the victims of violent crimes. That’s not right. I will stand up for these victims and their families.

LAW ENFORCEMENT PARTNERSHIPS

We have to work together to ensure we are focusing prosecution on the worst and repeat offenders. That is why I will have regular meetings between Law Enforcement and Prosecutors in each county.

VETERANS COURT

I am proud to have served as a member of a Veteran's Court Team as an Assistant Solicitor in the 6th Circuit. I will work to establish a similar Veteran's Court in the 4th Judicial Circuit to help Veterans who have served our nation and have been charged with a crime. Any Veteran who completes the program would be eligible to have their charges dismissed and expunged from their criminal record. It is our duty to help these brave men and women get a second chance.

DOCKET MANAGEMENT

If elected, my goal will be to manage the workflow better to help facilitate justice. I will immediately focus my efforts to reduce the number of pending cases on the docket. Victims and their families deserve to have their cases heard in a timely manner.

Fentanyl

Fentanyl is a weapon of mass destruction that is ripping apart South Carolina families. We must fight back against the trafficking of these drugs in our neighborhoods. If elected, there will be no excuses: I will prosecute any Fentanyl dealer to the fullest extent of the law.

RETENTION & RECRUITMENT

We will focus on recruitment to retain experienced attorneys, investigators, and staff members. I am committed to compiling a qualified and hardworking team that will take pride in our work.

PROPERTY CRIMES

Those who take from others by theft, fraud, or deception will be held accountable. You work hard for the things you own and should not have to worry about theft and destruction of your home and property.

VICTIMS' RIGHTS

As prosecutors, we must show compassion to victims and their families to ensure their voices are heard. We should always consider them when deciding how the State prosecutes their case. As Solicitor, my door will always be open to victims.
